Four Days to Express Appreciation

Taking Time to Give Thanks

Creative Bliss is about taking time to honor special occasions and those special people who deserve our focus of attention on that particular day. Those people who deserve our honor, support and respect.

November 11 - Veteran's Day
Reach out and contact your favorite veteran and thank him/her for their service to our country! On the 11th hour of the 11th day of the 11th month of 1918, an armistice, or temporary cessation of hostilities, was declared between the Allied nations and Germany in the First World War, then known as "the Great War." Commemorated as Armistice Day beginning the following year, November 11th became a legal federal holiday in the United States in 1938. In the aftermath of World War II and the Korean War, Armistice Day became Veterans Day, a holiday dedicated to American veterans of all wars. http://www.history.com/topics/history-of-veterans-day

November 12 - Chicken Soup for the Soul Day
According to the creators of the book series of the same name, Chicken Soup for the Soul Day was created as ".... a celebration of who you are, where you've been, where you're going, and who you will be thankful to when you get there!"

On holidayinsights.com they suggest you use this day to celebrate the value and healing of chicken soup, especially mom's chicken soul. As world citizens we have a commonality, and must realize that if progress is to be made in human relations and endeavors, if we are to achieve the goal of peaceful coexistence, we must focus on what we have in common." http://www.kindness.com.au/world_kindness_day.htm
